2014 // Year in Review

Every year when I put this post together I am nothing short of amazed by the people I worked with and the adventures I've taken with my work. I feel so honored to have photographed such sincere love and kind people. So let me start out by saying thank you to everyone I worked with-models, families, couples, vendors; you have all been so supportive and encouraging, I'm honored to have worked with you all!

That being said, this has been on seriously packed year!

I finally took the time to be in front of the lens with Brittany Lauren Photography in Portland which was a great experience. It was nice to take the time not only to work with another photographer but to see how it feels being directed and what my clients go through. And I loved it and have some really lovely images!

I had several amazing styled shoots (last year my goal was to create 3, I think I did almost 5!) where I really got to work with incredible vendors and beautiful lovely models. I feel blessed to have worked with so many talents in the wedding industry and I have some exciting news in the next few months about where some of images will soon be featured! One of my goals last year was to be featured on a national blog, and I'm getting ready to add another 3 to my list for the year.

Anna was another artist I had the pleasure of working with this year for her album release. Her album even hit top 100 on itunes, its so cool knowing people purchased this with my artwork.

I also had the opportunity to second shoot for the first time with the incredible talented Lydia Gillis Photography. I was such a great experience to see someone else in action at a wedding and Lydia is one of the most inspiring and supportive photographers I've ever met. I really can't wait to work with her again!

I have also been blessed with meeting some truly incredible couples this year. I've never booked weddings so far out in advanced and I still have many more to come. I've almost filled my summer already! I feel so blessed and adore everyone I'm getting to work with, next summer is going to be full of some truly stunning weddings and some seriously in love couples.

Goals for 2015!

1. Go international! Even if that means Canada-I want to officially become a destination wedding photographer. I have one out of state wedding already booked, its a step!

2. Attend a workshop. I failed at this last year, but I think its so important to take advantage of all the education that you can. There is always something to be learned and you should constantly be working on developing yourself and your work.

3. Shoot more film! I have an incredible collection of film camera and lenses-lenses I would dream to have for my digital. I just need to have my cameras looked over and cleaned and it's something I need to get on doing. I'd love to just be able to take a step back when shooting, limit myself with a few rolls of film instead of the unlimited digital and take some time going over the basics.
